Responsibilities
Huset KBH, a cultural center that hosts music, film, and art events, wanted to enhance its digital presence and improve how it shares event information with its audience. Recognizing this need, I offered to explore the feasibility and initial design of a dedicated app. Given their limited budget, I focused on creating a prototype for a Progressive Web App (PWA) a practical and cost-effective solution. This prototype not only met their immediate needs but also set the foundation for a fully developed application once funding become available.
Challenge
The challenge was balancing essential features to meet immediate user needs while designing a flexible framework that could easily scale to include future enhancements like ticket sales, user accounts, and third-party integrations.
To design a solution that resonated, I started by immersing myself in Huset’s community.
The prototype transformed the vision into reality. Bold colors and modern typography reflected Huset’s artistic energy, while reusable UI components ensured consistency and scalability. Consulting with developers, I validated the technical feasibility of the design, ensuring it aligned with Huset’s goals.

From this project, I learned the importance of prioritizing features within constraints, using the MoSCoW method to ensure immediate user needs were met while maintaining scalability for future growth. Additionally, consulting with developers deepened my understanding of Progressive Web App (PWA) technology, highlighting the value of aligning design decisions with technical feasibility to create solutions that are both user-centered and practical.
